Tiny Dinner

Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: June 1, 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Tiny Dinner site to browse, apply, become a member, or RSVP to and attend dinners (or any other events, referred to here as "dinners") hosted by members of the community. By accessing the site to browse, RSVP, apply, or become a member, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to them.

The Membership section below applies to members; the rest applies to everyone who uses the site or attends a dinner.

In Short

Tiny Dinner is a platform that connects guests and members to dinners hosted by other members in their homes. We do not prepare the food, run the event, or supervise the gathering. Membership is pay-what-you-wish and renews monthly until you cancel.

Membership

Tiny Dinner membership is pay-what-you-wish, and dinners are free to attend. When you sign up or apply for membership, you select a monthly contribution amount. You'll be charged once your membership is approved. By becoming a member, you authorize Tiny Dinner to charge that amount to your payment method each month until you cancel. Membership renews automatically until canceled.

Members can manage their membership through our website or by emailing team@tiny-dinner.com to pause membership for one month at a time, change the amount, or cancel. To affect your next renewal, please make your request at least 7 days before your renewal date, to allow us enough time to process it. Changes take effect the following billing cycle.

Membership gives you access to the community and the ability to RSVP to dinners. We do not offer refunds for partial months or for months when you weren't able to attend dinners.

If you have a billing question, please email team@tiny-dinner.com so we can resolve it — we're happy to help. Filing a chargeback with your card issuer for a recurring charge you authorized may result in termination of your membership and inability to rejoin or attend future dinners.

Our role

Tiny Dinner is a platform that connects members to dinners hosted by other members. Dinners are independent gatherings hosted in members' own homes — they are not organized or supervised by Tiny Dinner.

We are not responsible or liable for: hosts changing or rescheduling a dinner; the food, drink, or activity at a dinner; the conduct of any host or guest; the condition of any host's home; or the accuracy of any dinner details a host provides. Food at dinners is prepared by members, not professionals. By participating in a dinner, you understand that you are joining an independent gathering and are doing so voluntarily.

If a dinner falls short of what was described, we want to hear about it — email team@tiny-dinner.com.

Hosting a dinner

You're responsible for keeping your home reasonably safe, describing your dinner accurately, making best efforts to be transparent about the food you serve and its allergens, and complying with applicable laws. You must not host a dinner you don't have the legal right or authority to host.

RSVPs and attendance

When you RSVP to a dinner, hosts plan around you. We expect you to show up. If something comes up and you can't make it, please cancel as early as possible. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in deprioritized invitations, pausing your membership, or termination at our discretion.

Eligibility and conduct

You must be 21 or older to be a Tiny Dinner member. Tiny Dinner may decline, pause, suspend, or end any membership at our discretion. You agree that when participating in dinners, you will not:

  • harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse other members, hosts, or guests;
  • discriminate against or demean anyone based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or similar grounds;
  • engage in unwanted sexual advances or harassment;
  • violate others' privacy, including sharing someone's personal information, contact details, or a host's home address without consent;
  • share details of a dinner or its attendees publicly without consent; or
  • misrepresent your identity.

Photos at dinners

Photos and video taken at dinners may be used on the Tiny Dinner website, social media, and other promotional materials related to the Tiny Dinner community. We do not use information you upload to your member profile (bio, profile photo, dietary information) for promotional purposes.

If you'd prefer not to appear in photos used for promotion, or would like an existing photo removed, email team@tiny-dinner.com.

When membership ends

When your membership ends — whether you cancel or we end it — your access to RSVP and member-only features stops, and future charges stop. We may retain account activity, dinner history, and aggregated information for our records, analytics, and legal obligations. If you'd like us to delete your personal information, email team@tiny-dinner.com and we'll do so, subject to information we're required to keep for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.

Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the membership and dinners are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and Tiny Dinner disclaims all warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any dinner will be available, safe, or meet your expectations. You take part voluntarily and at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tiny Dinner and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, or for any injury, illness, loss, or damage arising out of or relating to your membership or any dinner. In any event, our total liability will not exceed the total amount you paid Tiny Dinner in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tiny Dinner and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of your membership, your attendance at or hosting of any dinner, your conduct, or your breach of these Terms.

Disputes and arbitration

Most concerns can be resolved by emailing team@tiny-dinner.com — please reach out before taking any other action.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, you and Tiny Dinner agree to resolve it through binding individual arbitration, not in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court or seek injunctive relief to protect intellectual property. Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in New York County, New York (or via AAA's online procedures where available).

You and Tiny Dinner each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. Disputes must be brought on an individual basis only.

30-day opt-out: You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing team@tiny-dinner.com within 30 days of becoming a member, with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out." Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.

General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may update these Terms with notice; continuing use of the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
